iCab is a new web browser for the Macintosh and a good alternative to the browser wars.

iCab has an easy-to-use interface with a built-in download manager, a hot list that stores your favorite sites, a search tool that you can configure to use your search engine of choice, and intelligent drag-and-drop capabilities.

Other features include support for Web archives, Text-to-Speech, and much more. This latest version includes a new Cookie Manager, new Filter Manager, Java support under Mac OS X, and more.

New in Version 2.9.8:

  • New version of the OpenSSL library is included
  • Some expired certificates were updated, which fixes the "certificate expired" messages on some sites.
