Remember how your windows could be shrunk to just space-saving titlebars in Mac OS 8 and 9? Windowshade X brings this ability to OS X, and adds more tricks as well. Double-click a window's titlebar and it can roll up in the traditional manner, or it can turn transparent to show what's underneath.

The software can change what happens when the regular Minimize button is clicked, from the default 'minimise to the Dock' to any of Windowshade X's options, and also handle control-double clicks differently. This 'haxie' (the generic name for such OS X add-ons) can also control the density of OS X's window shadows, their spread, and even their location relative to the window.
