CustomIcons is a small, handy tool that allows you to easily replace standard Windows icons with the ones you like and customise desktop attributes. With CustomIcons you can replace the default icons Windows uses to display My Computer, Recycle Bin, Internet, Start menu items, drives, shortcut and share overlays, system folders and other objects.

The program enables you to colourise icons and Start menu items, export any standard Windows icon into an individual ICO file and remove shortcut overlays or replace them with your own images.You can change icons size and colour resolution without changing your monitor settings, and rebuild and repair the icon cache (this feature lets you restore the desktop after a system crash).

CustomIcons scans files, folders and all local drives for icons, deletes duplicate icons from libraries, sorts icons within libraries, supports drag and drop operations (for specifying the source files/folders from Windows Explorer or other file managers) and sorts icons inside collections. You can find out any icon properties, view icons using different display modes, copy and paste icon images from/to other applications.

This latest version gives you the ability to manage icon libraries and to explore icon properties, has support for PNG and BMP formats and Windows Vista icons.
