The purpose of Cross+A is to simplify the solution of crosswords, word-based puzzles and nonograms by providing very flexible and powerful search tools.You can search English words by known letters and descriptions as well as find anagrams and word-combinations. The program uses a dictionary of 140,000 English words (some of them - with descriptions).

The anagram search has a "Descending" Search for all words that can be created from the text letters and an "Ascending" Search for all words that include all letters of the text.The program also finds word equivalents for telephone numbers. Telephone number digits are substituted by letters written on telephone set buttons e.g. 728-74-68 = PATRIOT. Cross+A will also enable you to create your own nonograms in the multicolored nonogram editor. New search modes, database creation support, and a list of proverbs and sayings have been added.
