The Bat is an e-mail application that supports multiple POP3 accounts, multithreading, MIME and UUencode standards, multimedia, APOP authorization, and PGP.

Multiple accounts are a snap to set up, use and organize, and you can automatically retrieve mail from your accounts and automatically log off. It features a nifty account creation wizard, message notification, message sorting, message templates, and more.

English, Russian, German, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Italian, Lithuanian, and Romanian interfaces are built-in, and a multilingual spelling checker is provided. Other features include the option of inlcuding a photo with each address book entry, the ability to view HTML messages, message colouring, flagging, advanced filtering, speed improvements, and virus protection.

This newest release includes a host of new features such as an improved networking engine that allows you to use The Bat as an internal mail server for both internal and Internet messaging, an enhanced address book, DDE mode to exchange data with other applications, and much more.
