Desktop Guitarist is a guitar program for players of all levels. It's a tabulature generator, chord dictionary, guitar tuner, accompaniment player, MIDI file generator and more.

Desktop Guitarist allows you to see and hear chords, scales, exercises and songs on an animated guitar neck with complete control over playback. You can use the sample files to start learning new material right away or you can easily create songs and lessons for yourself and others to use.

The program can play background chords while you practice. Sections can be looped, playback speed can be adjusted for learning tunes, or the music can also be played one line at a time. The 'Chord Finder' is a full chord reference which provides your choice of voicings for just about any chord.

The 'Scale Finder', can find any scale and display it on the guitar neck. Chord charts and text tab can be printed or copied to the Windows clipboard for use in other programs. Desktop Guitarist also includes a lesson on chord theory and a lesson designed to help beginners have some fun with their guitar.
