Normally when a file is deleted it's only the header that is deleted, the file is still there and can be recovered quite easily.

Delete It! Forever! makes sure that the files are really gone by first overwriting it with 0's, so if it should ever be recovered, the only thing the user (or spy) will see is a file full of nothing!
